    The person who is deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired types his/her conversation using a text telephone, a TRS Communications Assistant relays the message by reading it to the hearing person, the Communications Assistant then relays the hearing person's spoken words by typing them back to the text telephone user. Every call is in strict confidence; no record of conversations is kept.
