Biography
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been in the community mental health field for over 25 years. I have spent my professional career focused on trauma with children, adolescents, adults, and families in various areas of life including hospice, grief/loss, child abuse/neglect, substance abuse, parental alienation/termination of parental rights/family reintegration, juvenile justice, and sexual trauma. One of the things that I enjoy most about my work is being witness to my clients learning how to undo years of negative experiences and finding their hopeful path forward. I love hearing from previous clients when they reach out to share that our counseling journey has changed their life.
I recently relocated to this coastal area after spending my life in the midwest. I believe that happiness is a way of life and is created by the choices we make each day. I find that sand and water, along with sunshine, lift everyone’s spirit and I have fully embraced my access to these since moving to the area. I draw strength from practicing mindfulness and finding positives each day.
