My therapeutic orientation is primarily client-centered, but I draw on techniques from various approaches such as psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Finally, I would say that two core components of who I am are defined by my mindset, which is to experience, learn, adapt, and grow, and my passion for encouraging and helping others do the same.
At its core, my approach to counseling is based on the recognition that you’re the expert on your life, I’m just joining you on your journey to provide support and guidance. Because of that I believe in tailoring my approach to the individual – that means creating a space where you can feel free to talk about life, learn more about yourself, develop skills, and problem solve when life throws you curveballs. I also feel that authenticity, trust, and collaboration are key for the work we do to be effective.
