About Course

Puberty is a critical and necessary topic and discussion to have with your child because it is associated with major psychological changes in your child.  Puberty impacts your child’s cognition, affect, and social relationships.  Behavior risks may occur because puberty may start before your child has developed psychologically.  Understanding how to talk to your daughter or son about puberty is critical because it not only impacts the child but it impacts the entire family system.  Most parents know the telltale signs of puberty such as hair growth in new places, menstruation, body odor, lower voice in boys, and breast growth in girls.  This webinar will give parents the confidence to have “the talk” with their child.  Don’t wait for your child to come to you with questions about his or her changing body — that day may never arrive, especially if your child doesn’t know it’s ok talk to you about this sensitive topic.
