Kinship Care- Grief, Boundaries and Predictability

Discussion topics will include:

-Grief (mourning the adult child you thought you had vs the adult child that is currently present in your life)

– Grief for the kids (discussing the impact/loss on the kinship kids in your care)

-Healthy boundaries without conflict (what are the issues that come up with this, how to practice saying no to your kids/Kin and the kinship children in your care)

 (sub-topic- kids’ access to phones, social media and how does this impact how you protect them)

– What does it mean to be predictable, stable and consistent?
