Special Education – How to Advocate During the Process

The session will provide an overview of Special Education.  We will focus on

*the responsibility of the school to identify students in need

*how the parent can request an evaluation for services,

*the evaluation process,

*what services and supports are available to youth and

*how best to advocate for a student during the development of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
