School for Duslexia:
Dyslexia is a neurological condition caused by a different wiring of the brain. There is no cure for dyslexia and individuals with this condition must learn coping strategies. Research indicates that dyslexia has no relationship to intelligence. Individuals with dyslexia are neither more nor less intelligent than the general population. But some say the way individuals with dyslexia think can actually be an asset in achieving success.
In public school settings where many teachers are not knowledgeable about this condition, students with dyslexia may be considered stupid or lazy.  Having a child diagnosed with dyslexia can be a traumatic experience.  While dyslexia can make reading more difficult, with the right instruction, almost all individuals with dyslexia can learn to read.  Many people with dyslexia have gone on to accomplish great things.  Among the many dyslexia success stories are Thomas Edison, Stephen Spielberg, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Charles Schwab.
Parents who have children diagnosed with dyslexia should seek out reading instruction that is based upon a systematic and explicit understanding of language structure, including phonics. This reading instruction goes by many names, Structured Literacy, Orton-Gillingham, Simultaneous Multisensory, Explicit Phonics, and others.
GRACEPOINT opened its doors in August of 2012, holding classes at Riverstone Church in Kennesaw. After four years of steady growth, GRACEPOINT outgrew the space and accepted a generous offer from Piedmont Church to occupy a stand-alone building on their campus in exchange for renovating it.  This building served GRACEPOINT well from 2016 to 2023, increasing enrollment to 135 students.  After the recent purchase and renovation of the former MUST ministries building, GRACEPOINT now has a 30,000-square-foot home of its own, located at 1407 Cobb Parkway North in Marietta.
RACEPOINT welcomes families from all faith traditions, believing that God has given each of us talents and abilities to use for His glory. We believe
- all students, given the right opportunities and techniques, can be successful learners.
- all students can develop their talents and leadership qualities while learning.
- our students will progress by incorporating a multi-sensory approach to learning and being prescriptive in planning for each individual student.
- in being open to the power of the Holy Spirit as we instruct our students in truth and love.
- our students will be more than able, after completing the program to transition back into public/private educational opportunities.
Our Statement of Faith..
At GRACEPOINT, we are dedicated to educating dyslexic students in a Christ-centered environment. We will work to develop each student’s God-given spiritual, physical, and mental gifts to the fullest.  With God’s grace, we are committed to loving and glorifying God in everything we do.  We believe that there is one God who is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Jesus Christ, God’s one and only son, is our Lord and Savior.  We believe the Bible to be the authoritative Word of God.
