Courtney Adams, LMSW, earned her degree from Auburn University. She equips both children and adults to build on their unique strengths through a person-centered, strengths-based approach. With children, Courtney focuses on fostering self-worth, promoting emotional literacy, and supporting the development of coping skills to navigate regulation and impulse-control challenges related to ADHD or anxiety. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques and grounding practices to help children create stability in their daily lives. For adults, Courtney provides support for those navigating disenfranchised grief, drawing on her experience in veterinary social work, and can include a faith-based perspective for those who wish.
Understanding that traditional talk therapy may not be suitable for all, she integrates a creative, hands-on, arts-based approach rooted in culinary experiences to make sessions engaging and empowering. Her sessions are tailored with a holistic approach to cultivate personal growth and goal achievement.
