To help kick start her career helping children, Dr. Crosland received her bachelor of science in education, exercise, and sport science, magna cum laude, at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. She completed her doctor of medicine at the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA and had her pediatric residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL.
During her education and previous career experience as a pediatric hospitalist and newbornist as well as a clinical assistant professor, Dr. Crosland received multiple awards and honors, such as the letters of commendation in neonatology, general pediatrics, emergency medicine, and primary care clinic. She has research experience with infant feeding and body composition lab, and she has led poster presentations in the same subject. In addition, she is a fellow and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
