Healing Yourself so You can Heal Your Child
Foster parents will learn the importance of healing themselves so that they can help with the healing process of their child. Often times the wounded child in the adult will emerge if they are not aware of past trauma. The truth is all of us were wounded as children and if we don’t heal those wombs they prevent us from parenting our child in the most effect way. For example, if there was an area in your childhood that you were scared, you can count on that area causing you grief as a parent and wounding your child.
