The Importance of Self Care: Putting Yourself at the Top of Your “To Do” list
About Course
Providing care to children is at times an intense and demanding job. It requires parents to meet the daily demands of running a household, work, personal concerns, and responding to the needs of child/children in their care. Stress is natural and can be inevitable, but stress can take a toll on your health and effectiveness as a parent. Stress doesn’t just effect you, it also impacts the child/children in your care and your family, therefore the importance of self care should be high on your priority list.

GREAT CONTENT
Dr. Moss delivered a very powerful presentation that many of us parents and foster parents need to hear and to take care of ourselves. Parental conceptions like Dr. Moss highlighted is that many of us take we can fix everything or all the problems that comes our way. Sometimes we have to tell ourselves that we need timeout (separating ourselves from anything and everything that gets into our way). Also we need "me time". This presentation was one that I personally really need to listen to and to follow the bullet points for self preservation.
