While foster care may be considered a risk factor for the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC), it is also a critical part of the solution to support these youth and their caregivers. Learn more about the intersection of foster care and CSEC, including risk factors, challenges, and successful engagement strategies of youth and caregivers in mental health treatment. Explore ways foster care providers can lead the charge in developing creative solutions, including specific program efforts underway in Atlanta to train and support foster parents.

Yes, this was very informative as I am a guardian of a 12 year old child whose mother is addicted to drugs and has been in and out of jail. We have not seen her mother in 10 years. She is currently at a residential facility due to several disorders and psychotic behaviors. She will be coming home soon. I hope to use some of the knowledge I learned from this course.

Good information but too much information at one time...
The pros & cons of running slide and conversation was very helpful.
Excellent training on sexual exploitation of minors: backgrounds, signs to look for, resources available. The case study of Tia and Miss B really helped me see the use of trauma based counseling for foster children and foster parents. I highly recommend this training.
