About Course

Mental health can affect us not only emotionally but also physiologically. More research has started to show how nutrition can play a role in the healing of the body and mind after experiencing trauma. In this webinar, we will discuss how trauma affects our nutrient levels and food choices as well as how it disrupts certain systems in our bodies. Learning how stress interacts with our digestion and nervous system, we will discuss recommendations on reducing stress and resetting our body’s gut health. Small changes in an individual’s diet, including understanding of hoarding, nutritional food choices, and reducing stress techniques, can help you implement strategies in your home to manage behavioral and physical symptoms of traumatic stress.

I chose my studies according to needs at the time
I wouldn't have considered the role that nutrition plays in healing from trauma, so this was interesting and helpful.
