Amerigroup July Trainings

BIPOC Mental Health Month,

observed in July, is dedicated to raising awareness about the unique mental health challenges faced by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities. The month aims to highlight the disparities in mental health care access and the effects of systemic racism and cultural stigma. It emphasizes the importance of culturally competent care and seeks to promote resources and support systems tailored to BIPOC individuals. Throughout the month, various organizations and advocates work to educate the public, amplify the voices of BIPOC mental health professionals, and encourage open discussions to dismantle stigma and improve mental wellness in these communities.
