Those who have experienced The Sensory Learning℠ Program often report an improvement in the following areas:
- Sleep
- Coordination
- Perception
- Understanding and Memory
- Social Interaction
- Gross and Fine Motor Coordination
- Speech
- Ability to Learn, Reading
- Focus, ability to handle stress
The Sensory Learning℠ Program is a non-invasive, drug-free therapy that trains the primary sensory systems–visual, auditory, and vestibular–to work together in balance, adapt and reignite neuro pathways to improve functionality, processing, and performance. Clients lay on a comfortable Trochoidal Motion Table [which looks like a therapeutic medical bed] and look at a Computerized Light Instrument while experiencing passive stimulation of the visual, auditory, and vestibular systems. Light, sound, and motion challenge the individual’s three sensory systems to adapt to this input and create supra-modal perception (think of it as training the sensory system to work in harmony). The neuro-plastic response of the sensory systems is able to be altered when these sessions are repeated over a short period of time.
The Sensory Learning℠ Program is a 30-day intervention that is broken into 12 consecutive days at our office and followed by 18-days of home-based light therapy. The 12 days of therapy at our center consists of two 30-minute sessions(a.m. and p.m.) or a one-hour session per day for adults on the Sensory Learning Unit. The repetitive sensory activation of each session builds on the session before. After 12 days of sessions in the brainvive clinic, the individual returns home with a portable light instrument to continue the visual portion of the program, with a 20-minute session each morning and evening for the next 18-days. Once completed, the individual will return the light and be re-evaluated to assess improvement.
