Occupational Therapy Occupational therapy helps children develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily functioning. Occupational therapists help children to improve sensory processing to improve quality of life, learning, communication, and behavior.
ABA Therapy- Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for Autism is a type of intensive therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. The goal is to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease behaviors that are harmful or affect learning.
Math and Orton Gillingham Reading and Writing Tutoring: Orton Gillingham is a multi-sensory instructional approach to remediating deficits associated with dyslexia and weaknesses in decoding and spelling. It is structured, sequential, and cumulative. Our tutors are certified teachers, reading specialists, special education certified and trained in the Orton Gillingham method.
Social Skills Groups: Weekly small group social skills classes are held for children, teens, and tweens with a range of diagnoses including high functioning Autism, ADHD/ADD, nonverbal learning disability, and fluency disorders. Some children just feel awkward and have no diagnosis at all. Classes utilize the Social Thinking curriculum.
Summer Camps: Campers will improve social and communication skills to improve relationships with peers and adults. Camp is staffed by Speech and Language Pathologists, teachers, ABA therapists and bachelor and graduate level students. Campers will engage in structured group therapy and fun activities.
