About Course

Juvenile delinquent offenses are those which would be considered crimes if committed by an adult. Georgia law provides for the specific offenses that constitute a delinquent act by a juvenile, and provides for the possible consequences (disposition) to a juvenile adjudicated as a delinquent. The goal of the juvenile system nationwide is to rehabilitate, not punish. That being said, juveniles can be detained for certain, specific reasons. Learn about the types of juvenile offenses and possible consequences available to a court. What can you expect if a juvenile is charged with a delinquent act?
