US Surgeon General declared a National Youth Mental Health Crisis in December 2021. With suicide as the first leading cause of death for youth ages 10-15 and second leading cause of death for individuals between the ages of 10 and 24. It is timely and critical to gain a greater understanding around youth suicide, explore ways to prevent this increase in youth suicide and identify resources that support youth suicide prevention. This summit will bring awareness to youth suicide, potential causes, symptoms, risk factors, warning signs, possible responses, and parental and youth.
