Secondary Traumatic Stress (STS) for Professionals

Each year more than 10 million children in the United States endure the trauma of abuse, sex, violence, natural disasters, and other adverse events. For Providers hearing about or being exposed to this trauma can result in Secondary Traumatic Stress(STS). Providers that can be affected are Licensed Counselors, Psychologist, Social Workers, Case Managers, and other Helping Professionals.
