Passion Finders Program:
WHAT?
Once a child is accepted into our Passion Finders program, they become a “Passionite.” Our Passionites have a burning passion to do something wheter it’s educational, recreational, arts, technical, or a career skill. We are dedicated to support that passion!
HOW?
We will seek local businesses, teachers and mentors within the Passionites community to partner with us by donating their services, their time and expertise to assist the child master their passion. These services will not always be donated; therefore, we will pay for these services for the child.
SUPPORT?
Prior to the child’s first day of attendance, a representative from Different Is Beautiful, Inc (DIB) will meet with the class, mentor, or instructor to educate them about the Passionite who will be joining them providing them with resources and information on any issue or circumstance relating to the child’s anomaly that might impact the child’s ability to achieve physically, academically or socially in their environment. We will also go over our expectations as we will expect them to encourage acceptance, inclusion and friendships. We will create an environment where the child is accepted, treated and recognized for who they are and not how they are different. This will take place at an approved location agreed upon with the business or person who is offering their services/ classes, Different Is Beautiful, Inc and the family receiving services. We are excited to support and fund activities that assist a “Passionite” gain expertise in their chosen passion! We are excited to see purpose and destiny flourish!
Must be between the ages of 4-16.
Born Different.
The child was born “different” with an anomaly, birth defect, or special need that is physically noticeable.
Family can’t afford to pay for services.
Without the help of Different Is Beautiful, Inc the family does not have the financial means available to afford the desired program.
Transportation
The child has the necessary support and transportation to maintain consistent attendance to their program without any interference.
Must have an interview
An interview will be conducted to get to know your child so we can find the best possible fit in your community. We want to ensure that your child is set up for success!
