Ear Infections and Ear Tubes
Recurrent ear infections (otitis media) are one of the most common problems that kids face. Recent research evidence shows that repeated antibiotics can cause long term issues for young children. We can often help prevent these issues with a variety of treatments.
Tonsils, Snoring, Sleep Apnea
Recent research has confirmed what every parent knows: good quality sleep is critical to a child’d development. Enlarged tonsils and adenoids can cause many sleep issues, including sleep apnea. Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy are routine, but we prefer to try to avoid surgery whenever possible. Call us to address these concerns!
tympanoplasty
Tympanic membrane perforation or a “hole in the ear drum” is a common problem for children. This can be cause by trauma (diving in a pool, sports) or from ear tubes. Dr. Whitley is passionate about minimally invasive repair of the ear drum using a tiny camera through the nature ear opening in order to avoid incisions, scars, and pain.
