Common Ground: A Resiliency Group for Parents and Teens- When Worlds Collide: School, Friends, and Family Expectations

November 5 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EST
Virtual Event
Free

This is a space where teens and caregivers come together to listen, learn, and grow. Here, every voice matters. We believe in sharing without judgment, respecting different perspectives, and finding connection through conversation. Let’s make this a place of empathy, honesty, and mutual support.

Please Note: Both parent and Teen will need to have a way to join the meeting as we will do a breakout group

This month’s topic is: ” When Worlds Collide: School, Friends, and Family Expectations

Discussion:

Map out the pressures teens face and how caregivers can offer support without adding stress.

    • Teens: 💬 “What pressures from school or friends feel hardest to explain at home?” 💬 “What helps you feel understood when your priorities clash with family expectations?”
    • Caregivers: 💬 “How do you balance encouraging independence while staying involved?” 💬 “What fears or hopes come up when your teen’s choices don’t align with yours?”
