Description: Domestic Violence and abuse are not only defined by physical assault. Psychological, emotional, economic abuse, stalking, and isolation are common tactics that are utilized in relationships. These tactics are so pervasive that many individuals may not recognize the behaviors as abusive. Thus, by the end of the training participants will be able to: 

1.Identify tactics used by men to gain and maintain control over intimate partners and other women in interpersonal relationships. 

  1. Examine the effects that domestic violence has on children.
  2. Explore the ways that parents/caregivers can cultivate an healthy and supportive environment for children whom may have experienced or witnessed domestic violence.
